Bruce Dickinson Hopes To Save Failed Airline
Iron Maiden frontman Bruce Dickinson is trying to rescue the Astraeus airline he worked for and which collapsed on Monday.
Dickinson is looking at buying the company’s certificate of operation and starting again with a single jumbo: “There would be one aircraft, a skeleton staff — and from there we can build things up.”
Astraeus folded after running out of cash. Insiders blamed the charter airline’s Icelandic owners.
Dickinson continued: “I’m already working on a plan to try to save Astraeus, or at least create a new business with new jobs for my friends and former colleagues at Astraeus. This is a serious plan involving people who are very good at their jobs.”
