Breaking The What? Priest Plan British Steel Reissue
Judas Priest are to release a deluxe edition of their iconic 1980 album British Steel on May 10.
This will actually come in two formats. The ‘normal’ deluxe edition will have a bonus DVD, filmed last year (August 17) at the Seminole Hard Rock Arena in Hollywood, Florida, when the band played the whole of this album. Will they do a “super limited deluxe go large” version too, where you get a coke and large fries???? Does anybody else miss the days when an album came out and….. that was it???
I’d think the reason for Hell Patrol being omitted from the CD would be due to time constraints.
In reality it is just a new live DVD that they are tagging unsold copies of the remastered British Steel CD on to.
Yeah – but with the live album we all want to hear too !
Stop grousing and Defend The Faith !
Yes, Krabby Patty it would be nice for just one version of an album. Wouldn’t it be cheaper to release one version then we could all have the deluxe version.
And talking of new albums, why do they have bonus tracks, isn’t it just another track on a new album?
i’m going broke with all the special and limitied edition now even a tour edition
I’m not keen on all this bonus track business myself either but as it’s Priest I’m going to have to buy it and defend the faith with Stick Rigidly.
This is b******t!!! I bought the remastered version of this classic nine years ago and thought it was the ultimate release and now they are doing this?!! I am not going to shell out for it as I don’t see the point just to get a live CD or DVD. I feel sorry for the diehards though, as they will just need to buy this.
Shame on the record companies for blatant exploitation of the fans. Enough of the deluxe editions, special editions and tour editions!!!!
