Bon Jovi: ‘We’ll Do Songs Live From First Two Albums’
Bon Jovi are planning to dig deep into their back catalogue and pull out some old faves when they play the O2 Arena in London during June.
Amazingly, the band will even return to their first two albums, Bon Jovi (1984) and 7800 Degrees Fahrenheit (1985).
Guitarist Richie Sambora told Billboard:
“To keep ourselves interested and happy we’re going to be picking songs from different records and kind of intersect them into the set as time goes on… we try to give the crowd the songs they want to hear, obviously. That’s very important ’cause the fans came to hear those songs. We love to play them, so it’s not a big deal.
“But we’re gonna go back and play stuff that we haven’t played in 20 years… stuff off the first album, stuff off the second album that we haven’t played in God knows how long. So it’s gonna be a lot of fun.”
The band also intend to play some albums in their entirety, with Slippery When Wet being among those being considered for this exposure.

Finally! At last they realise they have a back catalog of really good stuff as opposed to the crap they peddle now!
At the prices they are charging, I still ain’t going out of principle. Although it would be interesting to see if Jon Bon Blow Me could still sing Roulette
At those prices everyone should be given a gold disc personally by Jon Bon Springsteen at the door and be carried in on ermine cushions.
The “fans” don’t want you to be radical and play older stuff , which is infinitely better than the new stuff they want real value for money.
I think they have become a parody of themselves (remember X Factory) and should stay on the other side of the Atlantic till they rethink their strategy.
Found my 1985 Bon Jovi ticket from Manchester Apollo for the astronomical figure £3.50 in the front stalls where the entire set was made up from the 1st 2 albums…think I’ll stick with that, thanks!
LOL @ Hazza!
Nice one fella!
Runaway and Tokyo Road? She Don’t Know Me, even? By Jovi!
Roulette, love lies and Runaway
Would love to see that, but the ticket prices are a joke, and Jovi are quickly becoming a joke, so won’t be going. For real Metal value, go see Blaze Bayley at a venue soon! Not to everyon’s taste, but at least it’s REAL (by the way I’m listening to Jovi as I write ths
Most of the people that go won’t know the songs from the 1st 2 albums!
