Black Spiders Leg It On To Dio And Answer Tours
The Black Spiders, hotly tipped for big things in 2010, will close out this year by supporting both Dio and The Answer.
The five-piece, led by Pete Spiby, start off with Dio, playing at Glasgow O2 Academy November 21, Sheffield 02 Academy 22, London HMV Forum 24, Birmingham O2 Academy 25, Manchester Academy 27, Lincoln Engine Shed 28, Bristol Academy 29.
They’ll then be opening up for The Answer at Glasgow ABC November 26 (yes, that is in the middle of the Dio tour), Nottingham Rock City December 1, Wolverhampton Wulfrun Hall 2, Bristol Academy 4, Oxford O2 Academy 5, Portsmouth Pyramid Centre 6, Cambridge Junction 8, London Kentish Town Forum 9, Liverpool 02 Academy 10, Dublin 02 Academy 12, Belfast Ulster Hall 14.
Spiby told Classic Rock: “We’re understandably over the moon to be ending 2009 on such a high, it’s been a great year for us as a new band, things have just gotten better and better.
“It’s amazing to be asked to play with Dio, what a legend… and to be able to tour with The Answer, who are one of the best new rock bands around, is going to round things off nicely. Just to say, we’ll be giving it the full rock fury so make sure you catch us!”

This means that I will see them twice, Monday 30/11 with Dio and then Friday 04/12 with The Answer.
I do hope that they are good.
You’ll be unlikely to see him so well in the larger venues but having enjoyed this lot supporting Parlor Mob at Water Rats earlier this year, you really need to keep your eyes on the drummer
