Sabbath plan 13 live webcast
Black Sabbath will celebrate the launch of new album 13 with a live webcast at midnight tomorrow (Tuesday, June 11).
Ozzy Osbourne, Tony Iommi and Geezer Butler will appear on Black Sabbath Town Hall, which will be streamed via their YouTube channel and via Google+ Hangout, and will also be broadcast on US satellite radio service SiriusXM.
Iommi will appear via videolink from Birmingham while his bandmates will be at the Angel Orensanz Foundation in New York. Fans can submit questions to be answered during the show via Twitter using the hashtag #AskSabbath.
13 is released today in the UK and tomorrow in North America. Sabbath will launch the first video from the album, God Is Dead?, on June 17. They tour the UK and Europe in December.
Meanwhile, Osbourne’s wife Sharon has admitted she didn’t know the singer was back on drugs, because they were living apart due to their work schedules.
In April he apologised to friends and family for having fallen off the wagon but confirmed he’d cleaned up at the beginning of March.
Sharon tells TV Extra: “I knew he was drinking occasionally, but I didn’t realise the extent.” But she adds: “We’re not getting divorced – however, I am devastated right now. It’s acceptance of who that person is. If you think you’re ever going to change anyone, you’re not. You love them for who they are.”
