Bid For Unique Who Charity Car
The Who have teamed up with a major British car manufacturer to come up with a one-off model – and you can bid for it this week.
Lotus are to produce a special version of their high-performance Evora 2+2 coupe which is to be personalised by Who frontman Roger Daltrey. It will be hand-built by Lotus specialists to the buyer’s specifications.
The aim is to raise £80,000 or more for the car – all of which will go to the Teenage Cancer Trust.
The Evora’s Who-related features will include Union Jack details and Daltrey’s authenticating signature, while the inside of the car is to have various references to the iconic band.
You can bid for this unique automobile at Bonhams on Thursday, December 1. But you must register by the previous day.
The Lotus Evora was previewed inside London’s Roundhouse at the recent Classic Rock Roll Of Honour, where the car was a major talking point. Awards attendee, Top Gear‘s Jeremy Clarkson, was even impressed!
