Battle Of the Bands Winner Revealed!
Come on in to check out who emerged victorious in last week’s Battle Of The Bands competition!
In last week’s Battle Of The Bands, Top Dead Centre & Swanee River went toe-to-toe for a place on a future Classic Rock magazine CD and we can now reveal who your votes made the victor.
Ladies and gents, your winner…
Swanee River
Starting life in 2004, Swanee River come from Derry, Northern Ireland and play a fiery blend of soul, blues and rock’n’roll, citing their major influences as Free, Led Zep, Rory Gallagher and Spencer Davis.
This isn’t Swanee River’s first Battle, they won the Northern Ireland Battle Of The Bands (which featured over 300 bands) in 2006.
With their sleazy blues rock sound, hard punching guitar riffs and powerhouse vocals coupled with spell-binding live shows, Swanee River claim they are scaring people into liking rock’n’roll again. Do you agree? Could this lot be the next band out of Ireland to follow in The Answer’s successful footsteps? Download their track Baby Better Lady and decide.
Download Swanee River’s track Baby Better Lady!
The idea is of Battle Of The Bands is a simple one: every Friday we’ll give you access to two unsigned bands. Download their songs and then vote for the band you like the most. The following Friday we’ll count the votes – and the winner will get a spot on a forthcoming Classic Rock magazine CD, taking their music to 70,000 rock fans.
Come back next Friday for a brand new Battle Of The Bands.

Hats off to TDC. Great band and best a luck. It musta been tight!!
They are both good bands and both deserve to be on the CD
