The original members of Bad Company – Paul Rodgers, Mick Ralphs and Simon Kirke – have announced that they will reunite for a series of eight UK shows in April 2010.

This marks the first time the original members will perform in the UK together in over three decades.

Additionally, a new Bad Company live CD/DVD set is set for release prior to the tour on 9th February 2010.

Bad Company announced their comeback this afternoon at the Hard Rock Café in Central London, where played a unique, intimate gig before a select invited audience.

They played an acoustic set that featured the songs Feel Like Makin’ Love, Shooting Star, Seagull and Do Right By Your Woman.

“These dates are to thank the fans for keeping the music alive,” said Rodgers, who was recently presented with the Classic Songwriter award at the annual Classic Rock magazine Roll Of Honour 2009.

“It’s great to be with Paul and Simon,” added Ralphs. “We made great music together and had the time of our lives doing it. I’m really looking forward to us bringing Bad Company back to the UK.”

Who’s on bass?

What about Belfast – Paul played with Queen here and knows what the audience reaction was like, come back with Bad Company another of my all time favourite bands.

i saw them in the summer on their 10 date us tour… it was amazing… for those wondering the bass player was the bass player from paul rodger’s solo band… probably the same for this.. and they also added a second guitar player who also plays in paul’s solo band and was an original guitar player with heart

Having just seen Bad company at Cardiff CIA last night I must say Paul Rodgers and co were on brilliant form, the sound was good, the stage was lit well, but no gimmicks, just a very slick performance which had the whole of the CIA to its feet.A five star concert.
I wish I could say the same for Joe Perry,I was dissapointed beyond belief, their sound was awful,he has little or no stage presence and he certainly cant sing and the only guitar solo that I could actually hear with any clarity and was good was by the bass player.
If your running late to any of the other concerts, forget about the support but make sure to catch the opening number of Bad company.
