Axl’s Guitar Hero Court Case Gets The Thumbs-Up
Axl Rose’s $20 million lawsuit against video-game company Activision for using a Guns N’ Roses song in Guitar Hero III: Legends Of Rock has been given the go-ahead.
“Simply put, the association between Slash and Guns N’ Roses ended almost 15 years ago. Rose resists any attempts to revive or strengthen this past association,” the complaint says.
The case went to court yesterday (March 10). After a brief hearing, Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Charles Palmer agreed the lawsuit can proceed. The trial is scheduled for January 23, 2012.
Activision has denied any wrongdoing.
