Axl Slams ‘Official’ GN’R Statement About Airport Bust-Up
Axl Rose is creating more of a stir over the incident last week when he allegedly punched a photographer at Los Angeles’ LAX Airport en route to Taipei, Taiwan.A official statement was subsequently released. seemingly on Axl’s behalf (www.classicrockmagazine.com/news/axl-hit-me-claims-photographer). However, the controversial singer now denies he knew anything about it!
He’s posted the following update on the official Guns N’ Roses MySpace page (www.myspace.com/gunsnroses):
“I did not release any statement or authorise either any statement or anyone to release a statement regarding anything at any airport anywhere.
“We had recently began working with newer individuals in management in relation to our current Asian tour in support of our Guns N’ Roses album Chinese Democracy in addition to (manager) Irving Azoff’s though as it happens we are once again touring Asia without management of any kind.
“In my opinion this nonsense may be some type of manufactured or publicity stunt.”
