Why should any performer have to put up with idiots throwing stuff at the stage? Bottom line is it puts the band and stage staff at risk of injury and Axl is quite right to let them know it is not acceptable.

I don’t blame him. If a few wankers in the audience start throwing stuff I’d try and throw them out and if that didn’t happen I’d be off. Still he’s always been a tosser for getting onstage on time. People like him because he’s edgy, tallented, mesmeric and confrontational; take that away and he’s not Axl. Its about time the press stopped baiting him as well – because most of the shit thats happended has been their fault.

Hmm, I would normally recoil at the thought of missiles being thrown at any band, just coz you bought a ticket, it doesnt mean you have the right to assault anyone. HOWEVER, surely a ticket is a two way contract, in which a performer is obliged to perform ON TIME REGULARLY and not when they think they’ve made the audience stew enough. Maybe a few bottles of freshly passed home brew on the head would pass the necessary message onto Axl Grease: RESPECT YOUR AUDIENCE or don’t expect respect in return!!
