Loved democracy, but I have to concur that Axl does take the piss with his fans, but he’s always done so – 3 hours late for a show, c’mon have a lttle respect for the people who pay money to buy your records and see your shows.

Is true Axl hurts us a lot but our connection is so strong that nothing can ruin it, so please go take care of your own fans…(if you any). Axl is having a hard time and we are not going to abandon him. Insted of geting tired we support him even more.

I lost interest in Guns n Roses after Appetite for Destruction. One good album followed by a load of thinly spread tedious over-rated, over-hyped and overblown crap. Rose is up his own arse.

I’m a huge GN’R fan – seeing the Paradise City video when I was 10 years old was a real life changing experience and started my love affair for all things rock. I always wanted to see the original band live, but I was too young to go on the Illusion tour (plus they didn’t play Scotland) and by the time I was going to gigs they’d all but split up.
I got tickets to see the new GN’R when Axl threatened to tour around 99-2000 I think but then he cancelled claiming he’d never agreed to a tour.
I finally got to see them a couple of years ago at the SECC and musically the y were excellent, but coming on really late and being a dick about it “if you need to get the last bus then fuck off – I’m going to be here singing” when you’ve paid 50 quid for a ticket as well as generally farting about for 10 mins between songs really rubbed me up the wrong way.
Then he brings out Chinese Democracy – a hard listen, but once you get into it, a rewarding one. Its not a GNR record though. But then he’s a TWAT abou it as well – no promotion, no interviews, no tour!
Vince is, IMHO, correct – he has hit the nail on the head. Axl has made an arse of himself and let me (I’ll not speak for all fans cos I cna’t) -a lifetime fan – down repeatedly.
Slash was always my favourite anyway and I’ve seen him loads over the years. Thought his gig in Norway covered in CR sounded excellent – can’t wait for his solo album.

honestly, i love axl and all, i’m the biggest gnr fan, but i double vince, i think that i’m giving up on the guy, he’s wasting everything there could ever be. sad.

I don’t agree with Vince , I like Motley Crue, good band with some great songs, but Axl Rose is truest rock star ever. For me rock n’ roll was about doesn’t giving a fuck it was the thing Rock N’ Roll was built on. And Axl Rose doesn’t give a fuck about fans, press, critics and aboce all about money. He is true artist , estranged and crazy but he is. Tom Zutuat said that Axl Rose is the only artist he has known who doesn’t care about money at all.

I love gnr, AXL he’s a nutter, saw him few times, no doubt he’s one of the greatest rock icon of all times, unfortunately he doesn’t seem to appreciate the fans, been there for him and supported him all years long. chinese democracy: great album, i wish AXL start aknowledge the fans as whom they buy he’s albums and pay money to come and see him, he has lost respect of a lot of hard core fans, he won’t survive that long if he carry on the way he is.

I’ve gotta agree with the comments. When you think the album took over a decade to make it has been such a letdown, if you’re gonna put all that time into making the album there should have been a HUGE world tour organized to coincide with the release, and they should have released singles/videos. Im a huge G n R fan and will still go and see them WHEN they tour, but I can totally understands fans losing patience, maybe that song was a premeditated warning to all G n R fans!

i agree with Vince. people waited for ages for this CD to come out and its rubbish! i only love old, original GNR not this sucky new one. i used to think GNR was the best band in the world, then Motley Crue. but now, after hearing the new CD, i have to say that Motley’s better.
