Box on the box! Anyone see the BBC’s Metal Britannia programme?
I think the Pretty things should have had a mention,but at least Heep got a look in, although john Lawton appeared in the follow up programme.
Amazing that heavy rock/metal call it what one may, has its popularity due to honest hard work, and the endless dross of made up girl/boy bands costs so much to promote that record companies don’t get their money back. Metallica proved this beyond all doubt.
Live music is the key- and needs investment.

As I said before, I hope these columns will be sampled for a book. I think Mick is a great writer. He gives us a good insight in the world of a rock and roll musician. Most curious is that the cd’s and movies he loves to hear and see are very much my fave’s too…

I always try to find all the pieces of music You’ve mentioned and give them a listen. It happens that music You like appeals to me too!!
Congratulations on Spurs’ winning!!! I’m glad that our Russian player did good to Your fave team.
