I saw Anvil at Toronto’s Massey Hall supporting Iron Maidens Number of the Beast tour. Anvil rocked as hard as Maiden, sadly that was my only exposure until this documentary. These guys deserve a lifetime achievement award, they kept going while most bands like this would have ended up in jail, rehab or graves. Great documentary of really deserving guys!

This is BS that such an awesome documentary was overlooked by the arseholes at the “academy” nomination board

let me guess what happens next
next year some BS r&b or rap “star” will make a documentary that will be crap and it’ll get a nomination in a flash

Damn…These guys have been making QUALITY music for YEARS… Forged In Fire, Metal On Metal… Great albums… Geez, these guys deserve to make it big time… At least people get to see the story… Over 20 years making music, that’s a legacy right there… Anvil IS the definition of blood, sweat and tears for heavy metal…
