Alice Cooper is keen to work with Sir Christopher Lee.

When Classic Rock told Alice that horror icon Lee had picked up an award at the Metal Hammer Golden Gods (Spirit Of Hammer) and had also just released a metal album called Charlemagne, he responded:

“Not sure how many people know this, but he was my choice to do the narration on Welcome To My Nightmare – he has such a distinctive voice. But in the end we went for Vincent Price, because he was easier to get. Of course, he did an excellent job.

“But I’ve always wanted to work with the man. So, if you’re telling me he’s into metal, then I know what my next phone call will be!”

Alice Cooper is the main attraction at the Sonisphere Festival on July 30. he’s also currently working producer Bob Ezrin on new album The Night Shift.

I think the idea of Alice & Sir C.L. working together would be fantastic. Maybe a redo of The Black Widow ? Not that it could take anything away from V.P’s version , but its always nice to have a differant version of a classic tune. I be interested to hear what some of Alice’s songs might sound like with an orchestra.
