Aerosmith: Split With Tyler Moves Closer

A split between Steven Tyler and Aerosmith is moving nearer to becoming a reality.

In an interview with the Las Vegas Sun, Joe Perry says that he believes the singer has quit the band last week: “Steven quit as far as I can tell. I don’t know any more than you do about it. I got off the plane two nights ago. I saw online that Steven said that he was going to leave the band. I don’t know for how long, indefinitely or whatever. Other than that, I don’t know.”

If that turns to be the case, then Perry is determined to carry Aerosmith on – somehow.

“As far as replacing Steve, it’s not just about that, it’s also four guys that play extremely well together, and I’m not going to see that go to waste. I really don’t know what path it’s going to take at this point, but we’ll probably find somebody else that will sing in those spots where we need a singer and then we’ll be able to move the Aerosmith up a notch, move the vibe up a notch.”

There’s bound to be a lot more happening soon. Keep up to date right here.

Surely not?! C’mon guys – you’re pushing 60. It’s too late for serious solo career’s. You’re arguably the greatest American hard rock act of all time. Check the ego’s and face reality. If you decide it’s time to quit then hold your head high and announce it. If not, and I sincerely hope it’s not then get together shake hands and move on. You simply can’t let it end like this…

No one person is bigger than the band, no matter how good they are, see that Van Halen and KIZZ have acheived much success after losing original members and in the case of Van Halen the lead singer that at one time some thought was irreplaceable. Granted Steven Tyler is a much bigger blow than those mentioned, but I agree whole heartedly that the band can go on without Steven, as Joe Perry really rocks and should the other members stop now right on the verge of a 40th anniversary. Hopefully it can be worked out and Steven will return, but, if not, just like my favorite band KIZZ, Rock on Aerosmith!

come on enough of this ur killing us old time areosmith rockers..no no no steve nonononon
