According to drummer Joey Kramer, Aerosmith have re-entered the studio to resume work on their first album of all-new material since 2001’s Just Push Play.“Today is the first day Tom (Hamilton, Aerosmith bassist) and I are getting back together,” writes Kramer. ”We just rehearsed for two hours and it feels so good! We can’t wait to get back into the studio and get back out on the road to do what we do best.”
The new Aerosmith album has been disturbed several times due to personal problems but is set to see the light of day at some point in 2009 while the band also have a date scheduled for February 1st at Venezuela’s Estadio Olimpico.

i hope they record a stripped down no bullshit cd this time. they use out side writers too much to get that pop thing. the last few cds were garbage..
Can’t wait for the new album!
Strip it down, throw a massive bag of cocaine in the middle of the room, turn on the recording equipment and let’s go!!! Just like the old days…
Sure, it would probably kill them but at least they’d go out with a better album than the crap they’ve been producing since the early 90s.
We really need a Permament Vacation album
i don’t care what the album sounds like. i enjoy JPP as much as I enjoy Rocks. Aerosmith is Aerosmith, and I listen to everything they make, no matter what it sounds like.
