AC/DC: The Biggest Live Act Of 2010 (So Far)

AC/DC have played to more people and grossed more money than any other touring act in the first half of 2010.

Blabbermouth.net are reporting that the band have performed to over a million fans since the turn of the year, in the process grossing $118 million.

Not far behind are Bon Jovi, who’ve played to half-a-million people on just 35 shows, making $52 million.

Also doing great business are the Trans-Siberian Orchestra ($47 million), Metallica ($40 million), The Eagles ($29 million), Nickelback ($27 million), Guns N’ Roses ($22 million), Kiss ($20 million), Muse ($16 million).

No surprises there AC/DC always deliver. The overall success of the tour is great to see and well deserved by the band.I have a feeling they have one more album in them but dont think they will tour anywhere near as much as this ever again.

Wrensta

Wow – so over a million people have seen exactly the same set !!

I saw them twice on the tour (Glasgow and Donington), and they played one more song that they didn’t play at on the latter show (High Voltage). But who really cares about them playing the same set list? It’s AC/DC and they played everything that was really expected. Besides there would have been allot of people who’d never seen them before, and as Brian Johnson said its them they think of when it comes to playing the exact same set list.

Gobberz

LMAO Wrensta, I just wished they would have changed their setlist a bit for Download 2010, but they were pretty good overall.

Hey Wrensta, less of the sarcasm please. Many of us were just glad to see them. What would you prefer, no tour at all? What is this nonsense about slagging off AC/DC’s set list rigidity? They are great songs delivered brilliantly. Thank you Angus et al. Thank you.

wrensta you are a moron, AC/DC are legends and and all the true fans want to hear all the classic songs from all decades and thats exactly what they deliver perfectly……. i agree with monkeyman its just great to see a great band on tour!! i saw them at manchester MEN and they were superb…

Shame on Bon Jovi for their ticket prices – who do they think they are – Aerosmith? – Shame on them too – who do they think they are – The Rolling Stones – Shame on them too – hope I don’t turn into a greedy money grabbing git when I get old……..

Zirlonia

Oh aye…and damn superb they are too. I’ve seen the boys three times this this tour. If I had the money i’d do more. My kids saw them for the first time ever at Donnington. Now they know why my partner and I make such a fuss about ‘DC.

No surprises there on Bon Jovi making a mint with the tickets at the O2 Arena in London costing an arm a leg and your very spleen *rolls eyes* – the word avarice comes to mind……

accccaaaaa daccccaaaaaaa , they are what they are!!
the best rock n roll band in the world!
its the show i first saw back in the very early eighties ,though i did actually see angus’s arse way back then instead of his flag underpants!!
i was at donnington standing next to a woman with her daughter who had never seen them before and was a bit ify before hand ,but left a devotee, with a young girl having the best bragging rights in her whole school!
bore jovi on the other hand, i have seen a few times as well and though their shows may change they are mostly forgettable,
and where are the trans siberiab things playing? would love to experince one of their shows!!
i must say though most of these bands are overpaid or the promoters are scanning us big time !!
check out motorhead ,the second best rock n roll band still playing!!!again seen first in 1980!!same show now as then a total assult on senses as lemmy trys to kill you with music ,,brilliant!,for 30 quid and be assaultted by their music qualtiy isn’t always expensive!

Bon Jovi will soon overtake them as biggest live band of 2010! The Circle Tour is absolutley massive and to be honest, they deserve it! Jon still has it, dancing and strutting around the stage, obviously needs help off the band with the mega high notes but on his day he really is the best front guy in the business! true legend! My Idol!

spiro arapoglou
