AC/DC’s concert in Austria on May 22 is under threat – from animal rights activists! The activists, from an organisation called NGO Birdlife, say that the band’s proposed show at Wels Airport will threaten the rare bird species called Curlew, who nest in the area. And they’re ready to take legal action to block the show.
They want the gig rescheduled for about a month later, when the disturbance will no longer be a problem.

They’re not animal rights activists in this case as stated in the article but rather wildlife conservationists and ornithologists. There’s a big difference.

fokk ‘em!!!!!!let the birds rocks with the mighty AC/DC!!!!!
If AC/DC could reschedule it would be a good thing.
Well, sometimes and I mean sometimes, activists, ornithologists, conservationists, sceptics, save the planet is my only job kind of people and everything in this word is bad for us and the environment kind of people, sometimes they are a bit over the fence…….SOMETIMES.
I’m confused…is it the location that’s the problem, or the noise? I mean, the birds nest near an airport but they’re worried that a rock concert will scare them off? I have a hard time believing that.
Sorry NGO but i think AC/DC have done more to the world than the Cerlew has and ever will. \m/
