AC/DC Knock Down Rochester Castle
Come inside to watch AC/DC reduce an ancient edifice to rubble in a ‘groundbreaking architectural projection mapping project’.
On the evening of April 16, images of AC/DC were pitted against the mighty Iron Man in a visual projection extravaganza that made even Liquid Len (of Hawkwind’s Liquid Len & The Lensmen fame) go weak at the knees.
The front facade of the great keep at Kent’s Rochester Castle, in the heart of the English countryside, was brought to life using the latest in 3D animation techniques, illuminating the night sky with warping and morphing images – and ultimately appearing to knock down the 800-year-old castle. Let there be rock, indeed.
We dunno exactly why AC/DC did this, but we’re sure glad they did. Go here to watch events unfold.
AC/DC’s Iron Man 2 soundtrack is out now on Sony Music. The band are currently battling Paul Weller for the No.1 spot in the UK album chart.
AC/DC also headline Donington Park on June 11. For further info go to www.downloadfestival.co.uk
