AC/DC 'Big In Oz' Shock

AC/DC have toppled U2 as the biggest live band ever to play in Australia.

The band sold an astonishing 212,729 tickets for their three shows at the ANZ Stadium in Sydney. U2 previously held the record, with 211,747 tickets sold at the same venue during their 2006 Vertigo tour.

In all, AC/DC grossed close to £15 million on ticket sales alone – with another £2.3 million made from merchandising.

Angus, it’s your round!

Nice one AC/DC really are an amazing group and the fact that they beat U2 is oh so sweet.

I went to the gig at ANZ Stadium on Sat night and it was fantastic!

No surprise considering it’s their first homecoming in what 9 years? Australia’s biggest export.

Robbo in Oz

Well deserved. Outstanding show on Monday night.

The band’s full of class – they had an outstanding tribute to Bon during High Voltage.

Easily the biggest thing to come out of this country.

GOOD! U2 are a pile of pretentious dog wank!
