Dr Rock

Wow…..Underwhelmed!

Agent Robbo

Whyohwhyohwhy do Download get the ruddy brilliant Porcupine Tree, yet us at Sonisphere get fucking Pendulum?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?

Pretty poor announcement except Slash who announced himself a couple of weeks ago anyway

Kriss Lane

Steel ‘Funny for about 5 minutes’ Panther on Stage 2 but Y&T on stage 3? On dear, oh dear. It’s a shame that a comedy band get higher billing than a proper band. Monsters of Rock will be turning in it’s grave.

Gobberz

Don’t know most of them but, is looking forward to seeing Slash.

Which band was Michael Monroe from, sounds familiar?

Didn’t expect much, it was mostly 3rd stage bands after all. I’m happy with slash + allthough I hadn’t heard many of the other bands, some sound quite cool. I think it was a decent announcement.

Michael Monroe was the singer from Hanoi Rocks.

Guys just so you know; The site seems to be saving peoples Name and Email on the comment section..

For example, just as a i went to comment, The name and email is already filled out with “Dev’s” name and email address. (Dev being the last person to comment)

Just be aware.

I have emailed them about this problem.

Anyway:
As for the dowload announcement.
SLASH = Awesome!

pipinfort

So what about friday, only 3 bands announced for the main stage…………?

pipinfort

Still only 3 bands confirmed for the mainstage on friday…..whats going on?

pipinfort

I really thought Slash was gonna be added to the friday but rumour has it that AC/DC will be using their own stage and lighting production for friday so the arena will open later than sat and sun and we will be getting less bands, also on the friday the other stages finish before AC/DC`s set begins making Download more of an AC/DC gig than a festival, don`t get me wrong i`ve only got a ticket for friday to see AC/DC but i was hoping for more bands, hope this will be cleared up and explained soon.

@Kris Lane Yeah, MOR would never have put a comedy band on above a regular band…oh…1986….

Gobberz

Thanks Dev, thought mit might have been that.

I suppose as well, with Acca Dacca using their own stage and stuff, maybe it will be a long set.

Hoping to get Whole Lotta ROsie, Razors Edge and songs they play less like Guns for Hire and Riff Raff in there would be awesome.

I believe there is only going to be 3 bands on the main stage on Friday as this is to accomodate the set up of the ACDC stage… steam trains etc!!!

Randy Floyd

What? Never heard of most of ‘em!

dave pass

it might not be the best line up ever but still pisses all over most other festivals

Steel Panther rule.

I heard that AC/DC might be playing Back in Black (the album) in its entirety. Not sure, and since I live in Australia it won’t affect me, but I’m just saying.
