The ticket prices to see Aerosmith at London’s O2 Arena on June 15 have been revealed. A single ticket costs a cool £106!
These are for Upper Tier, Lower Tier and Standing in the venue. Nothing special. The tickets go on sale to the general public at 9am this Friday (March 5).
The wallet-busting £106 price is made up as follows: £95 for a ticket, plus ‘fees’ of £11.
If you don’t believe us, check out the Ticketmaster website here.
Even Aerosmith guitarist Joe Perry is charging £32.50 for his solo gig at London’s minuscule 100 Club on April 13.
Frankly, we’re speechless.

erm…….. f”ck you Aerosmtih. Iv always wanted to see you… but now your taking the piss!
was looking forward to seeing them again after a cracking hyde park gig a few years ago – that was £50, but for a day’s worth of bands… +100 (not including transport) is a bit steep.
higher prices forces ‘fans’ to consider whether the gig will be ‘value for money’, which sort of loses the point of wanting to go in the 1st place. as aerosmith played for only 90 mins a few years ago, would a similar set at the o2 be worth this?
This is a massive joke. I love Aerosmith and luckily have a ticket for Download, because I would never pay this for any band. This is stupid money
WTF is going on with these lazy arsed bands these days? The fans are spending all their hard earned money to go on tour to watch them. It’s about time we voted with our feet and stayed away, make the lazy b’stards come to us !!!
I was going to go with my wife and 12 year sold but think the ticket price is a rip-off. Bon Jovi’s prices may have influenced this decision. I’m going to go to see Kiss for less than half that. I recommend others do the same.
It is a shame the ticket prices a minority of people pay on ebay and other legal touting sites are making some of these artists greedy to think they are entitled to demand the same inflated prices to perform. Granted downloading has affected sales of music but some of these show prices are getting ridiculous.Too many bands are run like corporations these days imo, there aren’t enough true rock and roll bands who perform for the love of performing.
I’ll find alternative entertainment on 15th June, thank you very much.
and to think people moaned about Bon Jovi’s £85 tickets!
I don’t think so much that it’s Aerosmith who are charging the prices, I think it must be something to do with the O2 Arena. After all, tickets for Bon Jovi cost even more than what the Aerosmith gig costs…oh hang on, that’s just because Jon Bon Jovi is a greedy so and so. I’d love to see Aerosmith, but for that money I’d prefer to pay for a weekend ticket to Download and see loads of other bands too!
Is this price to help pay for Tyler’s therapy?
Hope they enjoy playing to an empty hall then.
Add another £70 ish and you can see them at Download along with AC/DC, Motorhead at al.
Ridiculous price.
Do the words “Get Fucked” mean anything to you. Would not pay that in a million years.
And Joe Perry charging £32.50 to play the 100 club? Your album is shite and I appreciate their profile is nowhere near the same, but I saw Skin play there last year for £15.
What a joke!!!!
This is unbelievable, My favorite band ever and … what do you know, I can’t afford to see em’ in my home town???
Why the greed chaps?
Are you not rich enough or do you want to tarnish your entire career by shamefully admitting its all about the money and you don’t really give a stuff about your fans?
You look bad enough slagging each other off in the press these past few months but a sudden patch up and insane ticket prices just reveals your intentions… this is unacceptable!
Does any one else here agree- the future of rock concerts looks severely grim, with all the die hard, devoted true fans stuck up in the rafters or at the back where the barely affordable but cheapest tickets are and up the front around the stage, where once was a throng of adrenalised, dedicated fans will now be a bunch of wealthy, bankers, accountants and business types who buy these kind of tickets to pretend to be rock ‘n roll for a night and will create about as much atmosphere as an episode of the ‘antiques road-show’!!!!!!
Can you imagine being on stage and looking out into what should be a sweaty, good time having mass of loyal followers and instead seeing a stagnant bunch of rich miseries who are scarred to break a sweat let alone singing along to every word and reflect the energy back and forth, which from experience is what a rock show should be all about!!!!
Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls it would seem that the corporations and business types have finally killed rock ‘n roll, first we loose our hard copy albums and record shops and now the live rock show is being taken from the real fans!
How is a teenage kid who has just discovered the awesomeness of Aerosmith actually going to be able to buy a ticket to see his favourite band now???
Im disgusted and refuse to attend such a ridiculously over priced shambles, Bon Jovi are dead to me now due to the same money grabbing, rip off antics!
I refuse to give my hard earned money away to a false, sell out who once I really admired, Jon Bon Jovi has no passion involved in his ‘job’ as a managing director of a boring entertainment company!
Steven, Joe, Brad, Joey, Tom… you should know better.
£106… my arse, I think I will feed my family and pay my bills thanks chaps!
Rock is dead!
That is a disgraceful amount of money. Definitely not worth it. Apart from Aerosmith being not what they were, the O2 is a horrendous venue. Echo-y sound, no soul and it’s like going to a gig in a shopping mall.
If people are prepared to pay that sort of money then more fool them.
Was really looking forward to it – have seen them on every tour in the last 30 years but forking out over £210 for me and the missus without a pint or a tshirt is crazy. Will spend the money on the high voltage fest Saturday instead . And as for joe perrys new album it’s just about the worst drivel I’ve heard in a while.
They were half arsed and played barely an hour last time I saw them so they can shove their tickets up their arse. Lets face it it will be the same show theyve been trotting out for years.
would rather spend the money on 5 or six shows on smaller more deserving bands, Smiths should stick to playing tunes for theme parks.
HOW MUCH! ha ha ha ha ha…fucking hell…what pricks.
106 notes…Seriously…that is truly the king of all white dog shit.
Absolutely nuts! and as many are pointing out this blatant profiteering will kill rock n roll as a musical movement.
Lets have a large Classic Rock article in the magazine slating these practices please. As many of the so calld “Rock” stars claim to read the mag maybe it’ll open their eyes to what the kids (or even ordinary 40 year old fans) think.
It’ll only get worse and in my opinion the camels back is very nearly broken.
All the more reason to get a Download ticket. Get Aerosmith and a ton of other kick ass bands.
Do Aerosmith think we’ve all got the word ‘TWAT’ tattooed on out foreheads. 106 quid! Screw that!
This weekend me and the missus will see Jethro Tull in Oxford, this is now a sold out gig and every ticket sold was under £30.
Old prog rock fan
ac/dc was only £45
What a joke. With reference to Nick earlier, how come AC/DC only charged £36 ??? Fuck me even Metallica did a gig there for a fiver !!!!! As for the 100 Club gig – you could buy 6 at a time……………little wonder the touts win out everytime. Fuck off and take the fuckin Rainbow with you. Pricks
What !!!!
Thats a disgrace, i’m about to buy Download ticket for around a 170 beans. For an extra 70 quid I get ACDC, RATM, TCV, STP and Megadeth. Not one band with a support.
I paid £137 to see Led Zeppelin there, a one off lifetime event. To top it all off, the money went to charity. I can justify that kind of money but this will just line Aerosmith’s pockets.
Granted they are a great band and I really dig their music but come on guys, get real. How many normal people out there can afford that kind of money.
The only way I would consider it is if they put 1970’s Aerosmith in a time machine and brought them forward to 2010.
This sounds awful but I hope it doesn’t sell out, its about time something was done about inflated ticket prices. They need a wake up call.
Don’t even get me started on online ticket touts…………..
sammy Lee – you are a legend.
perry mentioned that some members are still relying on income from touring (which could be any of the non songwriters I suppose..)
perhaps they wanna really rake in some bucks in case this is the final time they go out
Unbelievable!
At least we know why Tyler came back now;
Joe Perry: “Hey Steve we’ve worked out a deal where we get paid (insert laughably exaggerated number here)million to play a few European festivals so it might actually be worth our while dragging our lazy arses over the pond for once because we also get to play a couple of intimate club shows where we’ll charge double the going rate, so we’ll all be rich enough to retire to Dubai!”
Tyler: “I’m in!”
Talk about take the money and run, what a disgusting and degrading end to their legacy. I’m only old enough to have been into their “second coming” but this band bears no relation to that which triumphed at MOR ‘94 and used to tour properly.
I shall be bringing a sign to Download saying “£100 for the O2?! Though you wish you were the Stones, you are not!”
I do recall that it was aerosmith who penned the line ” eat the rich , there´s only thing that they´re good for ” !
Woah. Didn’t bother reading the comments. Saw “Fuck you Aerosmith” at the beginning and thought I’d say my peace here.
Just remember, it ISN’T Aerosmith who choose the prices. Joe Perry ISN’T charging the money for his gig. It’s the promoters and venues. Also, Joe Perry’s show sold out straight away, so people clearly give a shit and would pay that much to see him.
Metallica at Israel was gonna be £210(!) but eventually people complained, Metallica got hold of the promoters and told them to lower the price.
Don’t go blaming Aerosmith solely for this, they don’t know the ticket prices or don’t choose them. Either way, I’m going (albeit it is partly a birthday present.)
Download works out cheaper of course for the amount of bands but I can’t go and I’m seeing RATM @ Finsbury and saw AC/DC last year. Aerosmith on my birthday, score!
But stop complaining, if you think it’s too much. DON’T GO. It’s not hard. But don’t go blaming Aerosmith.
2 words
“Live Nation”
+ 1 word
“Ticketmaster”
= RIP-OFF.
Aerosmith is my favourite band of all time. But for £106, there is no way me and my wife will be seeing them. Long gone are the days where you can just walk into a bar in London and see the like of Hendrix, Clapton and the like. This absolutely is disgusting. Can these bands not think of their fans for just once?
Why is classic rock acting all shocked about this? I’ve read reviews about Paul McCartney (£135+ BF), Prince (£125-£250 lower deck+ BF), Elton John (£75-£150 lower deck+BF), not to mention Bon Jovi, Tina Turner, and the planned Jacko concerts, none where cheap. This is the inflation for big acts- which Aerosmith are.
The o2 arena only holds 20,000, so it’s not Wembley stadium (Aerosmith played to 65,000 at the Toxic Twins ball for tickets btwn £49-£75)- which doesn’t have half the sound quality or view of the o2.
Plus you have to ask- can Aerosmith really fill Wembley or an alike stadia any more? No, but they still expect to be paid well to play over here. The o2 arena doesn’t claim to be cheap, it claims to be the best mid sized concert hall in the UK- and it is.
If you don’t like it, go stand in a field with some sweaty blokes.
it`s about time some of these bands had a reality check.
last year i paid to see ac/dc £45, motorhead £25 (southend) hawkwind £25, who do aerosmith and bon jovi think they are to charge such rip-off prices.
quoting the lyrics from eat the rich (suits em well)
shove it up your arse!!!!!!
A line does seem to be crossed here. I’m disappointed but I’m not going. I tried the O2 priority booking yesterday and I thought that was some kind of mistake. OK, you can charge that for some VIP (sic) area if you want, but not for the whole thing. And £75 plus fees for level 4 is a joke. Download now looks far more appealing.
Well, that is that! I can only support what the majority above have already said – what a rip off and how sad that a once mighty band of the people have stooped so low. So long Aerosmith, it was nice knowing you in the 70’s 80’s and some of the 90’s but now you are nothing more than a corporate pig. I guess we expect too much from our heroes. I’ll have to stick to Live Bootleg.
Live Nation quote prices from £75 – £95. Either way it’s depressing thinking this might be ‘normal’ for larger acts.
Shameful.
What THE…? But tickets to download are similarly priced to that… and they are 65 and all fukin hate each other!
im sure 19year old joe perry didnt have to spend over £100 to see his heroes!
shame thats what i will have to do!
oh well, it will pay for his hair dye ( you missed a bit at the front btw joe)
I think i’ll stick to my original plan of going to Download and catch a few other bands too!
Especially as i went there 30 years ago for the First Monsters of Rock (I shant say how much that cost!)
Personally i’d not pay that much to see Aerosmith at the O2. I really hope they have problems selling the tickets and hopefully that might say a lot more to the people responsible than what most here are saying!!!
I Love Aero$$$$$$$$$mith
I’ve just seen Gaga at the O2 for 31 quid…and very good she was too. Stuff you Aerosmith. I’ll stick with my Bon Jovi tickets at £51 a throw.
i was hoping to see aero but not at that price just seen nashville pussy in camden for £12 great night and a band that cares about its fans
If they want to play to half an arena good luck to them
Im goin to see Kiss in dublin and Metallica in belfast for about the same price as that. Im a Aerosmith fan but i think they are taking the piss!!!!
maybe its expensive because jimmy page will be joining them onstage for a few numbers! it happened last time they played donnington and then the marquee club in london
Lucky they’re not promoting a new album, it’d be £212.00.
I’ll buy the bootleg for £20.00 instead.
Thats just fucking Ludicrous!!!!
I just went to see Bigelf at the cathouse in Glasgow….a touring band from the states playing a few UK gigs…awesome show all for… wait for it…… £7.50 +bf – 1980’s prices.
Aerosmith and all the rest of these £100 per ticket bands can take their ‘because I’m worth it’ attitude and just fuck right off…
Dont buy a ticket, cos it just encourages ‘em!
Michael, I would love to defend Aerosmith too, but in this case you can’t. Don’t kid yourself that it is the venue and the promoters. In terms of current sales and standing, they are certainly no larger than AC/DC, Metallica or Green Day – all of whom charged £40 a ticket at the O2, so don’t kid yourself it is anyone except the band (or at least their management).
Quite agree with the comments so far, this is indeed a massive p*ss take.
Van Halen is the one band I grew up listening to that I have not yet seen & am dying to see. But if they are planning to pull this kind of sh*t too then I’ll have to go to my grave a disappointed man because I am not prepared to pay these kind of prices out of principle.
sammy Lee hit the nail on the head. Furthermore, these bands are all multi-millionaires and if they think they fleece me in this way to boost their already vast retirement funds then they can kiss my hairy a*se!
when was the last time this mob released anything worth listening to? The recent public slagging match seems to have been a con also. Good luck to anyone who pays £106 to see this bunch of tits. UFO in Edinburgh should do just nicely thanks
£106 ? Dream on.
Maybe a free gig for all the fans they’ve let down would be a better idea.
They can shove their £106 up their a**e. I used to think they were one of the best bands in the world but now just another corporate monster. I could see two KISS shows for that!!!!!
For that money, a person could go and see 9 or 10 new bands in small clubs…and probably have a better time. In the past few years I’ve seen Dan Reed, Keith Caputo, Mostly Autumn to name but a few all for under a tenner…and they’ve been brilliant. In the next few months Delain and Hammerfall are playing in local venues…and the tickets are dirt cheap.
WTF!!!!! THEY ARE STUPID AND HIGH OFF THEIR ASS WITH THOSE PRICES….HAHAHAHA…GOOD LUCK SELLING TICKETS…..GREEDY FUCKERS
i think this amount of money for one ticket is diabolical aerosmith are a great band but no band is worth that much
Aerosmith…….go and retire.
That’s a ridiculous price.
I’m glad I saw them in Dublin in 2007 when I still believed that they were still friends and enjoyed playing together live and being a band.
Now they just seem fake to me.
Needless to say I wont be going to the O2…..
“The o2 arena doesn’t claim to be cheap, it claims to be the best mid sized concert hall in the UK- and it is.”
No it isn’t. Its a lifeless, souless carvern.
Marriage on the rocks (as it were). Time for a rock ‘n’ roll divorce.
I’d love to see the band play over here again, and would have taken my son along too – but at £106 each plus travel etc etc. No way.
Going to see Green Day at Wembley Stadium with laddo in June at £40-odd a ticket. Excellent value.
Aerosmith ? What a rip off !
No more, no more…
My mate Ben at work is a MASSIVE Aerosmith fan and reluctantly splashed out on two tickets today. He did tell me that he felt well and truly shagged up the bum (I paraphrase) by the band and Live Nation. Stuffed if I think ANYONE is worth paying that for. He said that fans like him will still continue to pay out for crappy albums (Just Press Play) and crap merchandise and continue to get ripped off.
I personally (and I know from the posts above so are a lot of people) am sick of this! The greedy b*stards HAVE to learn…and the only way we can do this is by voting with our wallets and just say no! Britney Spears did a series of gigs at the same venue last year and (as well as friggin miming!) they had to get rid of a load of the £100 VIP Area tickets for about a tenner as no-one had bought them all! Ha Ha!
The rip off must stop! All power to Sammy Lee and US…the people!
go and see the quo instead, they still put a 30 date uk tour each year and you dont get half a set of ballads! in fact go out and watch a local band!
Ticketmaster can stick it too. Some people don’t earn £11 in an hour so WTF can they be doing to justify that?
Its a rip-off, on top of a rip-off. Nggh!
well,well,well…..its now come the time for the true rock n roll fans of the uk to start voting with their feet when it comes to these pretentious american/overseas spoilt brats…£106 + BF…..i prefer some foreplay before being f****d !!…..lets face it,neither bon jovi or aerosmith have done anything of note in the last 10 years or so to even come close to justifying these extortionate prices…get real lads..you’re fucking lucky to even be in the halls of fame at classic rock…..you forget who put you on the pedestal you think you rule…the fans…they will soon knock you back off it,you drug induced drunken idiots.
I think this is the real reason bands like Pink Floyd and Genesis won’t reform for a gig because they know it will involve ticket prices like this. They don’t ned the money obviously and don’t want to rip off their fans. American bands on the other hand are as greedy as hell.
I have been waiting for a another chance to see Aerosmith for YEARS, but I am afraid everything has it’s price and this is WAY above mine. It hurts to say it, but I am voting with my feet and not going. Thing is, I am not sure a fans boycott will work. I figure that if fans don’t buy the tickets, touts will. And if they do the band and the money men think they have a sell out crowd and have the cash in the bank. So they are happy. If the fans then also boycott the touts, the touts will soon have to start dropping their prices. And there lies the problem – probably all of us would buy a ticket if it was cheap enough. And if we do, the O2 will be full of fans and so the band and the money men will be happy – again! In this scenario the only people that have lost out is the touts. No bad thing, but bands/promoters will keep charging stupid prices until they walk out on stage at a “sell out” show and see the hall half empty. And even then I wonder of they really care as the touts money has been tucked away in the bank for months. Maybe the only solution is to boycott at any price – and a) I don’t think many of us could resist cheap touted tickets and b) even if the band play to empty halls, they (especially non-UK bands) will probably just respond by not playing here again! In short my friends they have us by the short and curlies! the band and the money men win whatever the fan chooses to do.
I have seen Aerosmith 3 times, First was at Wembley stadium in 1999 second was in St Louis Missouri USA and third was in Hyde Park and i must say i feel very disapointed with the price tag and will not be seeing them. £106 in the current climate dosen ‘t seem but is just greed.
shocking
i paid £32 to see slash at Brighton, £37 to see brian may at the 02 and to pay what….£95 to £300 too see joe perry is crazy. Do people realise that we are in a recession.
Jeezzz….Go and see KISS instead…blood , fire smoke ,volume ,Rock and roll music and all for less than 50 quid!!!!!!!! If , as someone said before ,it is the fault of the promoters , why doesn’t someone let the band know via their website and we’ll see what the reaction from them will be… I would be very interested! Would they lower the price and refund the difference to people who had already brought a ticket? It’s a lovely thought isn’t it?
there is a facebook group to let the promoters know that people will not buy tickets for this price, just search- eat the rich.
£106 ?? Who are they trying to appeal to to ?? Obviously not their average fan. SOOOO not impressed right now
Surely it’s just a coincidence that for the past few months Aerosmith have been constantly in the press over their dubious “split” and then lo and behold suddently they’re back together and playing dates in the UK and by the way tickets are £100 a pop! Coincidence my arse.
ooohhh rite £106 to spend on Steve’s rehabilitation… What a rip off… Add £60 you can go see acdc and Rage at the Download Festival…
How many people that have moaned on here, and are probably moaning on that facebook group have actually bought tickets though? Most i expect.
I have, yes its a high price, but its Aerosmith and probably the last time we will get to see them!
Aerosmith last decent record 1989
Kiss last decent record 1977
Bon Jovi last decent record 1988
Cheap Trick last decent record 2009. Yes 2009, theyre still making good new stuff but havent been here in ages. Get them here and they would only charge a quarter of some of these bands!
Michael (04/03/2010 4pm) is right in one respect – it is the promoters that charge the money.
However, the promoter only really adds a percentage to what the band wants to be paid.
Since the gross on this show will be over £2m, I’d guess Aerosimith were getting around £1.25m to £1.5m, which if the show is anything like Hyde Park is good money for 75 minutes work.
There’s only one answer – don’t go!
Live Nation and Ticketmaster are driving the death nails into gigging in this country, we all know that, but I don’t believe that Aerosmith themselves and their management have no say in this. Didn’t Springsteen campaign in the States and kick up a stink about ticket prices and get them reduced?
This is just purely ripping off fans, nothing less but shafting the people, who over the years have put money in their pockets and up their noses!
I love Aerosmith since the very early days, seen them a couple of times, but lately crap albums, family squabbles and now this, makes me think that maybe it’s time to do what they should have done years ago and call time on them and just remember the good times. Sorry boys but this is poor, very poor!
The Paris Bercyshow is 56,50 € £50.65 and 78,50 € (£71.50) before (cheaper) booking fees. Considering the O2 holds at least 5000 more than Bercy someone decided it would be a good idea to fleece the london fans.
21 years ago it cost £10 or £11 to see them at Wembley Arena. Adjusted for inflation at 2010 prices thats equivalent to £21-£26. Another way of looking at it – in 1989 the avergae UK salary was £8000 and today its £32000. So why are we paying 10 x 1989 prices instead of 4x?
Get fucked simples!
Oh and Michael, it`s pricks like u who fuck it up u banker!
Why the big hoo-hah? Aerosmith have always been about the dollars. We all know this ! They always charge huge amounts on their US tours so we should be thankful for : A. The fact there actually bothering to come over here for once. and B. Its not(like in America) a fully seated event for which you cant get seats anywhere near the stage.
I saw Aerosmith once on the Get A Grip tour, it was pretty cool. Now I have 2 boys aged 11 and 8 who, through the dubious virtue of Guitar Hero, are properly into bands like Bon Jovi and Aerosmith. So far, so good for these ageing rock stars – a new generation to listen to their records. That is where it ends though – much as I would love to take my kids (and wife!) to see them, 440 quid is probably enough for a holiday. And what is it with the bands setting up shop in the O2 and not touring the country properly. They don’t deserve such loyal fans. Spread the love, go and see some up and coming bands, or some old hands still doing it – Focus and Wishbone Ash for example were awesome last year, and they played their socks off here in little old Newark/Notts. Aerosmith can frankly shove it. Unfortunately though, the tickets will no doubt sell out to people with more money than sense – not to mention some desperately loyal fans – so bands like Bon Jovi and Aerosmith will do it all over again next time.
I’m a big Aerosmith & IMO Pump was the last great album. Why do they feel the need to release greatest hits albums all the bloody time? Should do more DVDs instead. Back to point.
I was ready for tickets going on sale Friday 9:00am as advertised on official site and live nation. Got a e-mail Thursday pre-sale tickets on sale now. I was like, great I missed all the best seats. I was shocked to see £95 as I saw them three years ago for £50. I thought it might be a inflated pre-sale price. After a while I decided to get to standing tickets and assumed it must have been because of the venue or just been one night. I think it is a rip-off and I wouldn’t pay that price to see them again.
I was going to go to Download but they were charging £1300 for the weekend with a hotel for two nights. What a joke! I tried to get my own hotel but guess who has already got all the rooms, Download. IMO Download is a rip-off unless you get the standard ticket or camp. I can’t slum it for three days so I decided on London and make a trip of it.
I won’t badmouth Aerosmith without knowing for sure who’s to blame.
fuck the 02, im going to barcelona where you can get a flight, a hotel room, an aerosmith ticket and a pet pidgeon from las ramblas all for under £95!
I’ve decided to go and purchased tickets, but it was 50-50. I still can’t believe the price though. I have a feeling that it won’t anywhere near sell out and they might have to reconsider their options
It’s the greedy promoters, not the band. If you can save up some extra cash for the show, you’re gonna ROCK! (seriously, make some complaints directly to the promoter!)
I have been going to gigs for 28 yrs and seen almost every rock band there is live. Gigs are my life.
I`m very concerned with all this overpricing.
I saw Airbourne at Wolves Civic (where most bands charge £45) and they charged £10 in the door and sold the venue out.
Top gig, and what a great way of getting you ti see them. Bouncing off the walls all night.
