Slash has spoken about the issues with snakepit in his bio (moreso about the issues with the second singer after Dover) but i dont see Eric getting the gig. You need songwritting talent aswell as a good voice otherwize your band is no better than a marketing stunt like INXS. Also i dont see an established/popular singer taking the mantle since the band/slash seems to have a very fixed idea on the direction THEY want. Kind of a shame... dont get me wrong, you put in the years Slash and Duff and Co have put in you can choose any direction you want but it will limit their choices for singer (as it is showing) and ultimatly hogtie anyone who takes the role... I liked Liberated way more than Contraband, and i feel that was more about Scotts direction than Slashes...Hope they DO release the material they have pre written, but i think i will only be enjoying the guitar work and not the vocal creativity..
