Video: Will Veto get your vote?

Århus music: Troels Abrahamsen of Veto

Danish electronic rock combo Veto have a new EP out called Sinus – and they’ve just unveiled the video for one of its tracks, Four To The Floor.

Track: Veto – Four To The Floor

File under: a bit Cure/Depeche Modey maybe, but it’s also got a gnarled intensity that might just tickle your tastebuds

Veto, we hear, “ushered in a new era for Danish rock by taming the machines on their first two albums, while displaying spectrum and width on their third”.

The albums in question are There’s A Beat In All Machines (2006), Crushing Digits (2008) and Everything Is Amplified (2011).

However, the band recently “decided against the traditional album set-up/cycle” and instead will now be releasing EPs as soon as they’ve written a clutch of new songs. Sinus is the first of these EPs, and it’s released in the UK this week through Sony.

Quoth the band: “We are a place where we know that nothing in life lasts forever. And the state – to know that life is a series of movements and to put up with it – is at the heart of our music right now. A state of flux-reflux, river ebb, action-reaction that everyone experiences, and ultimately makes us who we are. For better or worse. And all forms a beautiful whole as a sine curve in a diagram.”

Um… right. The video is below.
