Paul Stanley and Tommy Thayer raise temperatures at the Forum last night
Kiss performed a charity show at London’s HMV Forum last night (July 4) for the Help For Heroes organisation.
The CR team was out in force at a boiling-hot (make that hotter than hell) Firehouse… we mean Forum.
Kiss’ show got off to a slow start, which wasn’t helped by the fact that they played newie Hell Or Hallelujah, from their upcoming new album Monster, as the second song in the set.
It was also strange to watch Messrs Simmons, Stanley, Thayer and Singer with somewhat limited pyro. (Frankly, Silverwing did just as good a job at the Railway Inn in Leytonstone back in 1982.)
But once the classics started to flow, Kiss hit overdrive and there was no looking back – even though the Starchild will probably admit he’s had better nights, vocally.
Come the morning, we’re still shaking confetti out of our pants…
