Video: Skunk Anansie play the hero

Skunk Anansie have released a video for their single I Hope You Get to Meet Your Hero, taken from recent album Black Traffic. View it below.

The band, who reunited in 2009 and delivered comeback record Wonderlustre the following year, say the latest song is one of their favourites from their sixth full-length release.

“It’s a song about the perils of putting people you love on pedestals,” they explain. “We especially loved working again with Wil Malone – Adele, The Verve, Take That – who arranged the strings on this track. They really help the mood shine out. We look forward to playing this one live.”

I Hope You Get to Meet Your Hero is due out next month.
