Video premiere: John Wheeler covers The Jam

Hayseed Dixie mainman John Wheeler has shot a video to promote his piano-powered cover of The Jam’s Eton Rifles. View it below.

The musician decided to record the track after Prime Minister David Cameron said it was his favourite song of all time. Wheeler hopes his new version “makes the lyrics impossible to miss or misinterpret.”

His solo single Deeper In Debt premiered as a free download with Classic Rock earlier this month. It’s released on November 5, just ahead of the US presidential election.

Wheeler will launch his album Un-American Gothic in February. He tours the UK starting on November 21.
