True grit: Zodiac N Black
Zodiac N Black have unleashed a live video for Only The Lonely, the second single from their debut album The Aftermyth.
ZNB’s story starts in London during March 2008, when vocalist Jad and guitarist Jim got the band together, the idea being to have an outlet for their songs. It took the pair a while to find the right people to complete the line-up but finally, in February 2010, they got the rhythm section to complement their musicality, with the arrival of bassist Hank and drummer Luca.
Say Londoners about their approach: “The song is the most important thing for us, and to be able to play the songs live to their full potential.”
Their influences range through Led Zeppelin, Queens Of The Stone Age, Soundgarden, Black Sabbath and Free – but to these are added a grittier, more modern approach.
ZNB will release Only The Lonely on December 10; two days later they play their final show of the year at London’s 100 Club.
