Video exclusive: Triggerfinger take on London town!
We’ve got three exclusive clips featuring the members of “Antwerp’s loudest band” out-and-about in London town.
Triggerfinger, who cite The Cramps, Howlin’ Wolf, the Black Crowes, The Cult and Led Zeppelin as their influences, have toured relentlessly playing at clubs, pubs and festivals throughout Europe to develop their fierce and uncompromising sound.
The band’s third album All This Dancin’ Around was produced by Greg Gordon (Oasis, Wolfmother, Slayer and Soulwax) in Los Angeles’ famous Sound City studio (where Fleetwood Mac made Rumours, Nirvana Nevermind and Queens Of The Stone Age Songs For The Deaf).
Big things are expected of the album, which is due out on April 15 via the Dramatico label.
Bassist Paul Van Bruystegem (aka Monsieur Paul) recalls: “It was the first time in my career that I came out of the studio and realised that everything actually sounded even better than I thought it did in the studio at the time.”
The Belgian band are completed by vocalist and guitarist Ruben Block and drummer Mario Goossens.
Triggerfinger were in London earlier this month to play a show at Islington’s The Garage. While they were here we grabbed the three of ‘em for some light-hearted video shenanigans:
* Monsieur Paul went into the vaults of the Hard Rock Café to seek out his heroes’ bass guitars.
* Mario did some improvised drumming around town before heading to his favourite shop in the city to pick out a UK-inspired outfit for the gig at The Garage.
* Always suited and booted, Ruben visited Mark Powell – a renowned tailor in London.
