TOTW triumph: Pineapple Thief
Classic Rock‘s latest Tracks Of The Week poll developed into an almighty battle between The Darkness and The Pineapple Thief. After being narrowly in the lead since voting began last Friday, Justin Hawkins and co were overtaken at the last minute… and The Pineapple Thief claimed the juicy TOTW crown!
Our most recent TOTW poll generated the biggest amount of votes so far, with The Pineapple Thief’s Last Man Standing receiving the totally tropical thumbs-up from a formidable 454 of you.
At 443, The Darkness’s Everybody Have A Good Time was just 11 votes behind.
Third place went to the late Joey Ramone with Rock’N'Roll Is The Answer / New York City.
In further surprises, fast-rising Montreal proggers October Sky grabbed the No.4 position with Dark Vision.
And Scottish all-girl trio The Amorettes stormed in at No.5 with the undeniably splendid Hot And Heavy… beating both Muse and Billy Gibbons. Holy McShit!
