Top songs: It’s a Monster result for Kiss!

Kiss have claimed the top spot in our latest Tracks Of The Week Poll.

The glam icons’ two new songs – Long Way Down and All For The Love Of Rock & Roll – share the No.1 position in our chart, followed by Heart at No.2 with Fanatic, the title track of the Wilson sisters’ recently released album.

Next come Soundgarden with Been Away Too Long, while Steve Harris/British Lion are at No.4 with This Is My God.

1. Kiss – Long Way Down/All For The Love Of Rock & Roll A brace of tracks from Kiss’ new album Monster. Gene Simmons says the success of the record is all down to the band’s most recent additions. “Tommy Thayer and Eric Singer have revitalised us,” he explains. “They have a work ethic and the talent to back it up. There are no symphony orchestras, boy choirs, keyboards, outside producers or songwriters on this album. The best thing we did was to turn inwards to ourselves.”
