Paul McCartney and the surviving members of Nirvana have released their studio jam version of Cut Me Some Slack. Hear it below.
The ex-Beatle performed the song with Dave Grohl, Krist Novoselic and Pat Smear during last week’s 12-12-12 charity fundraiser for the victims of superstorm Sandy.
Kurt Cobain’s widow Courtney Love scorned the move, although the musicians never referred to themselves using the “Nirvana” title.
The group reprised the track on US TV show Saturday Night Live at the weekend.
Cut Me Some Slack was written by drummer Grohl, and is set to appear on his upcoming documentary movie Sound City, telling the story of the iconic California studio in which Nirvana recorded their Nevermind album.
