A right royal return: Prince
Prince has released a lyric video for his new song Screwdriver – and it’s proper rockin’.
A mix of lyric video and rehearsal footage, the endearingly unpolished Screwdriver features Prince and his new all-female backing band. The man himself cavorts about in outlandish headgear and bizarre sunglasses with CD-sized reflective lenses, while the song includes a chunky guitar solo and an outro that sounds like it’s lifted from Let’s Go Crazy. It looks like Prince is preparing for a renewed burst of activity this year. He’s also launched a new website called 20pr1nc3.com (see what he did there?) which features a teaser trailer for an upcoming film titled Prince Montreux. He played two shows at the legendary jazz festival back in 2009.
