Music: Rev. Peyton’s Big Damn Band celebrate ‘the growl of a good truck engine’

The Rev (not the one who was in Towers Of London, obviously)
Roaring out of the southern Indiana foothills, Reverend Peyton’s Big Damn Band (who’re actually a trio: two guys and a washboard-strummin’ gal) purvey an idiosyncratic mix of Americana and Delta blues.
Track: Reverend Peyton’s Big Damn Band – Devils Look Like Angels
File under: Delta blues, hillbilly fervour and musical acuity sharp as razor wire
Devils Look Like Angels is the first single from RPBDB’s upcoming fifth full-length, Between The Ditches, out August 7.
The album ‘celebrates the growl of a good truck engine, the fiercest passion for their country home and the importance of family’, all of which sounds mighty damn fine to us, pardner.
The band have also lined up four British dates for October:
Oct 15 Bristol The Tunnels
Oct 16 Wolverhampton The Robin 2
Oct 18 London Water Rats
Oct 20 Putney The Half Moon
