Music: Kings of Leon tell of offshoot

Kings of Leon bassist Jared Followill has formed an offshoot band called Smoke & Jackal, and released their first track, No Tell. Hear it below.

He’s joined by Nick Brown of Nashville band Mona, and they’ve recorded an EP called simple EP1, to be released in October.

Followill says he’s found it very easy to lock into the project, explaining: “We didn’t bring any egos to it – we just talked about each other’s ideas and neither of us got our feelings hurt. It just worked.”
