Music: Carry on camping with Jeff The Brotherhood

The punting season has begun in earnest at Eton

Jeff The Brotherhood are brothers Jake and Jamin Orrall, hailing from Nashville, Tennessee. Their style has been described as containing elements of psychedelic rock, garage rock, punk and pop. But what they really excel at is… staging a damn good picnic.

Track: Jeff The Brotherhood – Sixpack

File under: makes Barbara Windsor’s Carry On Camping antics look tame by comparison

The great British summer might be in danger of becoming a complete washout, but if the sun shines for long enough we suggest you emulate the scenes in the video below, where Jeff The Brotherhood stage The Greatest Picnic Of All Time.

Alright, so bits of the vid might resemble Deliverance without the violence, but apart from that it’s a total hoot.

Forget about stale cucumber sandwiches and lukewarm Tizer, here we have canoeing, skinnydipping, boozing, smoking, flabby stomachs, campfire shenanigans and a whole lot more besides.

In fact, we’re so impressed by the video, we’re heading out to Regent’s Park boating lake this lunchtime to replicate it in full. (If we don’t update the CR website anymore today, that’s because we’ve been arrested.)

Sixpack comes from JTB’s new album Hypnotic Knights, out on July 17. Besides the video, you can also listen to four tracks from the album below.
