Geoff Tate has released a lyric video for Dark Money, the lead track from his upcoming solo album Kings and Thieves.
Setting aside his continuing legal battles with his former Queensryche bandmates, the vocalist focuses on America’s class struggle in the new track, which gave the album its title.
Tate says: “People in the United States, and all over the world, are getting upset with how big the class difference is between the rich and the rest of us.
“It’s a drastic difference. People are counting their pennies and losing their homes while others are multi-millionres and giving their money to political action groups.
“I’m not really a political person, but I am interested in social commentary and what happens to people because of politics. Dark Money is about how thing that are important to everyday people are looked on as little more than pawns in a chess game by politicians.”
