Doro: ‘My new album rocks but it also has some deep messages’

Detail from the cover of Doro's new album

Watch an exclusive video interview with German metal queen Doro – and get the lowdown on the inspiration behind her new album Raise Your Fist.

Raise Your Fist is “full of anthems and old-school heavy metal,” says Doro, but there are also strong underlying themes of rebellion, human rights and women’s liberation.

Doro also talks about her duet with Lemmy on It Still Hurts, the guitar-playing contribution of Gus G (Ozzy/Firewind) and why Hero is dedicated to the late, great Ronnie James Dio.
