Iommi proud of his Eurovision song
Tony Iommi has professed himself “really pleased” with the track he’s co-written for this year’s Eurovision Song Contest.
The Black Sabbath icon provided music for the track Lonely Planet, performed by Armenian outfit Dorians as that nation’s entry for the annual camp competition.
The bitterly-contested semi-finals take place in Sweden next month, where Dorians singer Gor Sujyan will perform the song.
Iommi says: “I’m really pleased how it’s turned out – fingers crossed for May 16!”
He previously explained: “They’re a good band – the singer has a really good voice and the lyrics are in English.”
Perhaps the Sabbath icon’s move into the song contest will brake the mould…
