If I had 16 years to make an album I could have made one better than Chinese Democracy. My Mother coulda made on ebetter than Chinese Democracy. It doesn't suck, but it's not great either. After reading Slash and Watch You Bleed recently, and having been a fan since Appetite, I think Axl is the one is the wrong, and always has been. If Joey Ramone can sing in the same band as Johnny Ramone for 20 years after Johnny took and married Joey's girlfriend... Axl is soft, and always has been. I'm glad Slash put the Snakepit albums and VR albums out, to continue the legacy and spirit, because the only spirit attached the GNR name now is attached to vintage t-shirts.
