The Clog: gone, but not forgotten
It is with a tear in the eye that we write the first entry in the all-new Classic Rock Blog. That’s because the old Blog – more familiarly known as ‘The Clog’ – is no longer. It has disappeared into the ether. It is, in short, an ex-Clog.
When the all-new Classic Rock website went live yesterday, Scott Rowley asked Geoff Barton (who used to post most of the entries) how it felt to see the Clog consigned to the dustbin of history.
“I’m totally distraught. It’s not like a collection of old magazines where you can hold them in your hands and leaf through back issues or anything,” Barton sobbed. “The Clog is gone. Forever!”
Thankfully, the fact that issue 127 of Classic Rock went to press yesterday – and the hectic business of getting the final pages to the printer – soon made the Clog’s demise a distant memory. After all, when all is said and done, every Clog has its day. Groan…
(FYI – Like this website, the next issue of Classic Rock sports a brand spanking new look. It goes on sale December 10. Make sure to let us know what you think.)
