‘Ferocious T-shirt photo debate’ rages in Classic Rock office
Because as well as hulking great man-sized XXL Classic Rock T-shirts, we also want to push our line of apparel designed especially for our female readers.
To this end the guy who handles our merchandise sales recently organised a photo session with a very attractive blonde…
Only trouble is, with her cowboy hat, skimpy shorts and ripped tights (topped off by a selection of Classic Rock T-shirts, natch), it looks like she’d be more at home in the pages of Hit Parader magazine circa 1987.
Some here say that’s no bad thing. Others reckon we should shoot a bunch of new photos that are more up-to-date and somewhat less Lita Ford-like. In response Chris Ingham (Classic Rock publisher) insists: “You’re being over-sensitive.” He’s probably right.
Hmm. If we can prise the semi-controversial photos away from Brad Merrett, our art editor, we might just post them on this here blog and ask you what you think.
Only trouble is, Brad’s just gone home early and the photos are nowhere to be seen…
In the meantime (danger: tenuous link coming up…) Lita Ford has just cropped up in her first rock video for 20 years.
She makes an appearance here in the video for Twisted Sister’s I’ll Be Home For Christmas. What more can we say except… welcome back. (And check out the bigger Lita story elsewhere on this website.)
